It's not a dog

We were leaving Yellowstone this AM and looking for anything interesting . My husband asked if that was an elk out there- and the guide immediately said that is a wolf and pulled the van over. We all scampered out because it was likely it wouldn't stay long, though we did get to watch it for about a half hour .  The collar is a radio collar. There was also a second wolf in the same meadow though further away , just watching all these weird humans.  There are I think 6 packs now in YNP and have helped improve the ecosystem of the park in areas where they are found. The extra is the Teton range at the Oxbow  at the Snake River .
