Strawflower

We had rain overnight, then bright sunshine.....blip is my new strawflower that I had just potted up yesterday sitting on the patio taken around 8am.

Its been a day of much sadness and many tears, my lovely friend of something like almost 50 years passed away last night.  She has been an integral part of our districts craft group for many years, her sudden death hard to deal with.

Further to that Timaru's Alliance Meat Works announced they will be closing after 139 years.  Up to 600 job losses.....what will those people do, devastating for them and their families along with the trickle effect through our town and district.  How will those families manage with mortgages to service.  Terrible.
