Seaside Weather Vane

Like every vane before it,
this swings to the wind's pull,
but, being at the seaside,
the bird on top's a gull.

This is the latest addition to my occasional series of weather vanes. This one is at Blackpool Sands, Devon.

We've had two days of wild easterly winds now - with very strong gusts. Makes the sea choppy, so no swims since Thursday. Still sunny though, and cooler, but far from cold. (So last night, it wasn't the heat that kept us awake, but the racket from the wind.)
