New Carpet!

Today was the day for the new carpet - it's great & I love it. 3 men came - because of having to shift the piano around - and they had finished by about 1:30pm.

I had opted to take all the rubbish/old carpet to the tip myself & so umpteen trips later, it was done.

It's also my birthday & so a nice pressie. Not arranged for that as such, just the first free day I had that they could do it. It just makes me realise how old the other one was...next replacement will be a new sofa. That's also very old. I'm not particularly bothered about new things, but given the carpet was about 25 years old & the sofa is about 15 years old, it was/is time for a change. :)
