Thank You Squirrel

It’s rained more or less all day so it was a good day for me to have a sore throat. I slept all morning then popped out to take some rainy photos when this little squirrel ran in front of the car and up a Sweet Chestnut tree. Its a busy time of year for these little ones who must stock up plenty of nuts for the winter months. Alpine squirrels are black with their characteristic white shirt, but are part of the red squirrel family.
