Introduced D&L to the game Village this evening - a game that's been around a few years but still holds a valid place in the collection.

It reflects life in a small village where your family members have careers in farming, making stuff, travelling, as councillors, or as clergy.  As time ticks on the older generation dies and the new needs to make their own place in the village.  When the graves are full, or, at least, the chronicles of past villagers, the game ends and we count up points - including points for having the most dead people recorded in the chronicle.

A close finish, with me winning a smidgeon ahead of E (which has broken a bit of a run of losing).

In other news, the smartmeter engineer finally arrived - with paperwork to change only two of the three meters, and without HQ telling him that the gas meter was a large size one and not one he was equipped for.  In the end one meter got changed, and we go round the loop again...
