A garden with a view
Not a bad day today, though we did have a couple of short showers this afternoon. I'd arranged to visit a member of the Scottish Rhododendron Society who has a guest house in Oban and who has planted an amazing number of rhododendrons there, mainly species, but some hybrids. He admits that he's planting them too close together, but told me that when he's gone then somebody else can worry about it! Lots of very familiar names from my Arduaine days. He has amazing views from both back and front of the house, and this view of Dunollie Castle and woods between the trees, my Blip today.
After lunch I picked up my neighbour Sue and we returned to the Corran Halls, where she continued with weeding between the slabs and I continued clearing the steps. I bet nobody notices - though someone brought us out a cup of tea!
I've posted too many Corran Halls pictures lately, so my extra is yet another picture of my favourite Red Hot Poker - Kniphofia rooperi. A native of Eastern Cape in South Africa, it does well in my garden.
