Fly

I worked from home today, so started my day with my usual WFH walk.  I was lucky to avoid the rain, as I think it then rained all morning.  At least I was working, so was not out in it.

I had a busy day at work, with no time for a lunch break.  However I had an appointment in the middle of the afternoon to get my “wound” checked, treated and dressed.  It was really sore again and is apparently still very red, but I came away with a smaller dressing, so I think that is progress.  I took the opportunity to go for a quick walk to decompress from the pain, before heading back to my laptop, and a few more meetings.

We had leftovers for tea, so I put the dish in the oven and headed out for a quick walk to get the rest of my steps.  It was so cold, bitterly cold.  I was glad to get back home, and tea was ready.

Later I had a call with BB.  He is overwhelmed by his lectures and is struggling a wee bit, and is undoubtedly a bit homesick too.  The reality of being away at university has hit him now. He will be fine, but was definitely not in a great place this evening,.  Poor BB, and all the other students who have just left home for the first time.  I hope they support each other through this tricky time.

I spotted some acorns on my afternoon walk.
