Hotel

After another day of hard work programming, I am starting to get a feel for where the computing time is going in the solver that I'm going to be working on. There was still time to attend a couple of talks and chat to our former developer the end-of-course buffet. I also had an interesting discussion with a guy who works on logistics for Vinted.

I couldn't stay for long because I had a call with  И,  two of the people we spoke with last week, our New Zealand collaborator, a Brazilian and a Costa Rican! It's not easy to schedule, as the Kiwi had only just got up on Saturday morning! 

Afterwards I caught up with И, and then rejoined the end of the party downstairs. I was pleased to see that my new PhD student was still there. I've hardly spoken to him this week, which should indicate that he's integrated well. I didn't stay long as I needed to check in to my accommodation for tonight. Unfortunately I couldn't extend my Airbnb rental when I decided to stay for the final day.
