Purslane

Hubby is on his way to his big adventure. As he left, he said he was excited but anxious for some reason. I am sure he will have a wonderful trip. He’s used any free time in the last several weeks to read all of St. Paul’s letters and Acts. He wanted to be familiar with what St. Paul experienced during this pilgrimage. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Before he left, he helped me get rid of weeds, vines and spent flowers in our front garden. It looks a lot better but there is more to be done. I’ve put that on my to do list while he is gone. I’m also hoping to work on Christmas shopping. It takes me months and time is slipping by. This vibrant purslane is in a hanging basket in the front garden. I took photos this morning and again a few minutes ago in the drizzle. Was hoping the clouds would tone down the vibrancy a bit. Folks using real cameras probably have settings to produce better photos. Oh well, this is as good as I could get. This edible plant provides more than just pretty tiny blooms. When looking for a quote, I found this additional information about it on line “... it contains more omega-3 fatty acids than almost any other green, as well as vitamins A, B, and C and beta carotene.” I ironed most of my shirts and will finish that task tomorrow. It was hard to get much accomplished while watching the results of the hurricane. Those poor folks have such a huge clean up facing them. Renee sent pasta for my dinner. She has assured me there will be no need to cook for just me while hubby is gone. I hope you also have such a wonderful support system. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting and all those sweet greeting you sent my mother. I will share them with her. "There is always a little bit of purslane in Paradise" - Jennifer Wixson
