surely a dream?

I had dinner with Alex at Les Deux Salons which was lovely. I'm staying in town tonight because I have an early meeting in Swindon so I need to be at Paddington very early. I couldn't get a decent room in town for love nor money so here I am in a budget hotel in Covent Garden. There's no aircon and it is hotter than the Med. I cannot open a window because of noisy revellers outside. The best I can do is squint and imagine the bunk beds I can see are really part of a lovely cabin on a Caribbean cruise......
