Extreme Caution
At first, it was just one head, barely visible in the reeds. Its red crown was a bit of a giveaway, I suppose. Shortly after spotting me, another head popped up, beak covered in mud from poking around in the wetland. They began alternating between feeding and keeping watch.
I circled around to find a better viewing angle and eventually both heads were visible together, alert and cautious. After a quick shot, I left them to it.
