Our beach

We were up and out early to beat the heat. Cycled along the road to see a little monastery on an island which we could walk across to on a duckboard.
And then along a dirt track to see what was at the end. It turned out to be a huge flat sandy beach with flat calm sea. No one else on it. So we had to have a dip in the sea - very refreshing.
Later in the afternoon there was a little bit of cloud so cooler and we were able to go out for another cycle. This time in the opposite direction Erin to the big town of Vlore. The sea front was lined with hotels and bars - but very quiet as it’s now the end of the main holiday season. We got ourselves an ice cream and cycled back. And then a delicious BBQ at the campsite in the evening. Managed to fend off some of the mozzies.
