This is a close up from a vantage point in the centre of Inverness.
I liked the early sun on the Free North steeple, but I also took the picture because it because it shows two of the big changes in recent years in the city.
The old psychiatric hospital at Craig Dunain is now housing , and what were - rightly or wrongly - often seen as grim Victorian buildings have a new lease of positive life.
Next to it is the more modern Great Glen House, the local HQ of both Nature Scot and the Crofting Commission, both of which are vital parts of the Highland infrastructure.
Yesterday's blip also illustrates have different the place is from what it was and how vibrant it has become.
