Sunbeams

Harvest flowers

There aren't many flowers in the garden this autumn although I did manage to pick a few sedums and some greenery and one or two sunflowers from the field in the pouring rain without my secateurs - a bit of a struggle! I got absolutely soaked in the downpour but managed to fill five vases for the window sills in the church with some flowers from the supermarket.  The harvest festival is tomorrow with a bring-and-share supper at the manor afterwards.  T always comes along as he is one of the local farmers, with granddaughter I.  Not much fruit for decoration either these days but tins for the Lord's Larder, the local food bank instead.
