Trafalgar Square

Today it was a visit to the National Portrait Gallery to see the new Dr Jane Goodall winning portrait.

Afterwards I saw this view which captures a number of different things going on in the square. Just out of the picture a rally was forming up in support of refugees. The police were there in great numbers, waiting for the rally to move off.

We planned to visit the National Gallery next, but the half mile long queue put us off for today. Maybe next week.
