Cows
I didn't get up too early today but when I did I was happy to see that the sun was shining and it was no longer windy.
Last night we watched the first play off preliminary game between Salford and Leigh. Wigan are not involved in this round, as they and Hull KR earned themselves a week off! I like this stage. It's sudden death now, lose and your season is over, win and you progress to the next round. I'm particularly enjoying the fierce contest as a neutral, without the nerves involved when it's Wigan.
We will be going to watch live next week though...
Once Brian was home from work and we'd had lunch, we decided to have a drive out to Five Mile Bridge at Washing borough to have a walk along a different part of the river bank.
We saw three buzzards wheeling overhead (Brian may have a shot of one of those), many dragon- and damselflies, a few butterflies, goldfinches and as we walked back we caught a quick glimpse of a couple of kingfishers!
There were some gorgeous clouds that shimmered with rainbow colours. I couldn't get a shot of them with my phone camera, but Brian had taken his proper camera and he managed to capture them.
All the wildlife was very active in the sunshine and nothing held still for long enough to take a photo. I should have taken my camera too, but didn't!
We walked back towards Lincoln as far as the metal cow sculptures which have ended up as my Blip before going back to the car and then home via a quick trip to Tesco.
