Rigoletto was an absolute triumph. The WNO are such a fantastic opera company putting on wonderful opera at affordable prices and touring their productions around England as well as Wales. It is so sad and short sighted that their funding is being cut. The wonderful chorus and orchestra, in protest at their proposed cuts,wore their protest T shirts during the curtain call enhancing the cheers from the supportive audience. We have the treat of seeing another performance tomorrow afternoon: Puccini’s Il Trittico.
