A sprinkle of new snow

We got very lucky today as we had planned to go up to the highest point available here (Seceda, 2500m) and not only did the weather co-operate but there had also been sufficient snowfall overnight to transform the mountains. After a circular walk with stunning views we had a delicious minestrone soup and took the cable car back halfway to Furnes for a short walk through the forest along the ancient Troi Paian path before returning to our hotel where we’re currently sitting on a nicely sunny balcony. We’re leaving Val Gardena tomorrow - it’s a perfectly lovely spot and we have been well looked after.
