A moment in time

The Hermitage, Dunkeld

We walked up through the beautiful tall trees to Ossian's Hall, and viewed the waterfall on the River Braan.  Lots of water coming over the Falls, and lots of people around.

There was a wedding about to take place at the Hall.  It seems there are lots of weddings here, this year alone 55 couples have tied the knot at the Hall.  We waited around to see the bride and the wedding party leave the carpark to walk up to the Falls, she was beautiful in a long ivory dress, but probably had walking boots on as it is a rough walk up to the Falls.  And the guests were all beautifully dressed, but with sensible shoes on.

We had a coffee from the food van there, and ate our sandwiches reading the newspapers.

After our walk we headed into Dunkeld and walked along to the Cathedral.  And there we saw another wedding, a much more formal affair, in the Scottish manner, with lots of kilts and tartan and a piper.  The bride was beautiful, as are all brides, and it was nice to see the wedding party from an approriate distance.

We had a nice day!
