Fall Colors
Another adorable little bird shot against the big maple tree in our woods which is finally giving some lovely golden colors. The tree is a fair distance from the perch so the background is nicely blurred, just the way I like it. And the bird is among the cutest of all the yard birds, a Tufted Titmouse.
Thanks to those who read my long and rather geeky post yesterday! The piles of orange and black bugs are still right where they all were yesterday. I wonder how they will know it is time to leave? More are molting into their final adult form, leaving behind their little exoskeletons which look like small shriveled spiders.
It's been drizzly all day so walking Jax wasn't it the cards, but he was content to keep watch on my from the sofa while I was on the deck taking some pics.
Tonight we are having a "virtual" dinner with bestie, Peg. We are shooting to have our respective meals ready at 7 PM and will convene via FT for a meal and conversation. And I am even going to treat myself to a glass of wine. Really looking forward to this! She is a little over 3 hours from us, so dining in person is a bit more complicated and time consuming.
Dark with dried cherries today.
