A day in the life

By Shelling

Postponed day

On my first day of unemployment I woke up after a good night sleep surprisingly early, at ten to eight and went on with morning chi-gong and breakfast, catching up with blip and then I listened through the concert recordings from yesterday and made a listening version on Soundcloud for anyone who wants to hear it.

The afternoon went by pretty uneventful, as I wanted it and I knew I wanted to get a meal from somewhere to eat at home. By five I fetched a nice fish fillet from a nearby restaurant and was suddenly struck by the darkness, still it was only just past five. When looking at my computers clock I found that it was really half past seven. The battery is off again on my kitchen clock, slowing down time. That explains why I felt so rested at ten to eight, it was really half past nine already and I missed two and a half hours of the day, mentally speaking. The blip is from when I got home from fetching the food at a little past five, I thought.

I just watched a film made about a Ukrainian orchestra, playing Beethovens ninth symphony, a very moving film and powerful music, emotionally played by skilled, professional musicians, who never actually played together before this concert. Listen to the final movement here
