A cheeky visitor

A walk over to the park earlier with C, we sat on Bobs Bench, he died in December 2022, C had a seat placed here in his memory.  We bought a good hot chocolate, no cake, and watched the world meander by.  The park was full of young footballers, with dogs and their owners walking purposefully around the edge two or three times, a girl running, young children with little scooters, plenty to occupy the mind, although mostly we are thinking about Bob.

Afterwards a drive up to Brimpsfield church to place flowers on the grave, there is always a special feeling when visiting here, I don’t think it was to do with the pheasants, dozens of them, more to do with childhood memories. Afterwards a light lunch at the Royal George Hotel in Birdlip, it was good.

Brimpsfield and Birdlip are about ten miles from Cheltenham, when driving up over the top the view over Gloucester and into Wales is splendid. Back to Cs for a few minutes before the two of us set off to meet my other sister and B in L in Bredon for an early meal, a lovely few hours of socialising.
