The Very Last Time…!!

I think that I will ever Blip my ‘James Galway’ rose again…!
As we cut it down today…..for various reasons …it had gone totally out of control..way too high with big straggley branches…
Those of you who are familiar with me on Blip will have seen my photos of it every summer….its a stunning rose with its ‘ballerina skirt’ blooms and a beautiful light fragrance..
We did our best to support it over the years but I chose the wrong place to sow it unfortunately and we could never support it properly.
And due to our recent very wet summers it also became a victim of Black Spot.
I will miss it terribly and the garden won’t be the same without it..
But hopefully I’ll sow something new next season…!

We had another fine day today…and we spent all day in the garden…so much Autumn tidy up to do…but we’re getting there..and looking forward to a whole new garden design next year.

Tomorrow we’re under a ‘yellow and orange’ warning for rain & wind so there’ll be no more gardening for a few days.
