Slowly ripening
There are still quite a few green tomatoes on the plants. I'm following the advice of an expert local gardener: Tomatoes can ripen off the vine once they have reached the chartreuse-green stage (a little yellower than the totally green stage) so once the weather cools, you can pick unripe tomatoes and ripen them indoors.
These have all been ripening indoors. They're very tasty. I have bigger ones ripening too and will need to start making some sauce and soup with them.
