Lace day

A full on day, getting there early to set up, help though-out the day and tidy up at the end - exhausted tonight.

We had a lovely display of lace - the theme this year was “surfing the seas” but there were other items not related to water/sea/beach etc.  we gpthen had a wonderful speaker - Kate Findlay - she is a textile artist and produces the most wonderful pieces with material and thread.  She has a number of places that sell her postcards as well as having a National Trust calendar with her work in.  Her details are here. and the calendar can be viewed here.

Film tonight was Uglies - a dystopian story - an OK film, but not that exciting.
