Glen Callater

We don't get much practice in walking in really hot weather, so I thought we would tackle something undemanding. I picked a familiar Corbett - Creag nan Gabhar - with a good track and a nice steady ascent.

Well, we made it to the top but the final rise was a real struggle and I couldn't have climbed much more. My Camelbak ran dry half way down. Fortunately I'd put another litre bottle in the rucksack at the last minute and Mrs P and I finished most of that before we got back to the car.

It's nice to see the heather coming into bloom, though.
