Everybody

We went to see this play last night at UNCW. It’s a 15th century morality play, a dark comedy. The subject is death. It has a casting quirk where every member of the cast (9) has to memorize all the lines because at each performance the roles are assigned at random.
It’s meant to symbolize the randomness of death. A very thought provoking performance that was so well done by the theatre students.
Some of the roles played were the senses, strength, friendship, stuff, beauty and mind and the only one who could accompany an individual, Love.
