Rough Road Ahead

Saturday morning, and the house is quieter than usual. Vanessa is working all day, and Milo’s working till noon. Gubs needed a lift into to town to meet his friends at nine. We had clear blue skies and warm sunlight, and a touch of mist over the fields that had not quite cleared yet. On the way home I stopped at the top of Appledown Way, on the outskirts of Canterbury – the long straight road across the fields makes for a strong composition. I then spent a very relaxed day doing a few of my favourite things… walking, editing photos, and re-watching Supernatural while making some progress in Guild Wars 2. Later on, it was time to make supper – by popular demand we had a build-your-own pizza night, great fun but it does take a while to prepare the dough and all the toppings in advance.
