finished reading:  James  by Percival Everett - highly recommend - probably going to be the Booker prize winner imho.

about to start reading:  Orbital  by Samantha Harvey

a visit from JH who's parents built Mary's Cottage - this is probably their last trip to here from Australia.  I used to babysit his gorgeously naughty twins when i was a teenager.  

looking forward to seeing JH and his wife tomorrow for a good old chat about the old times, when Lulworth was a quieter place.  I am going to attach a photo taken by John* of his mother Circa 1963 with our home to the left, showing the boundary - which may become important soon.

some years ago he very kindly gave me a stick with all his family photos.  they are fascinating.  some taken here and many more taken all round the world.
