Skenfrith Castle

Early afternoon we met up with friends in Monmouth (South Wales, UK) for coffee which was handy as Mrs BB had a parcel to pick up from Waitrose.

On leaving about 3pm, ninety minutes later, it was raining but not the downpour that was forecast. We took a detour home and passing Skenfrith (still Monmouthshire) I stopped to take a view of Skenfrith Castle (1187AD) alongside the River Monnow.

Continuing the detour home, it allowed us to buy tomatoes, and a bag of apples/pears from a stall in the next village to ours.
