A Day Worth Recording

Decoration

Heading home today.  Good timing as the weather has turned somewhat.

We always prefer to do something en-route and on this occasion we stopped off at Castell Coch - it being at least indoors out of the rain.  It's a 19thC 'fake' castle (even our own house is older) but built on the remains of a real medieval castle by someone who inherited buckets of money.  It's amazing.

The Drawing Room is where the architect 'felt free to add a little decoration' or some such understatement according to the audio guide.
