Watching

This Saturday was Nick’s third and final day fishing on the River Avon and what a lovely day it turned out to be. He started the day on the lowest beat, close to Ballindalloch Castle. Bertie and I had a walk there amongst fabulous tall old conifers, some of which made me gasp in amazement at their size, both in girth and height. I then drove into Aberlour for some supplies before joining Nick and Bertie for a picnic lunch at the fishing hut. After lunch we drove up to the top beat where I took this shot of Bertie watching Nick fishing. Unfortunately, although a couple of fish played with his hook, no fish were successfully landed. Hopefully he will be more successful on the Tay on Monday.
