Directions
A quick trip into town for some fresh veg this afternoon and as I didn’t have the dogs with me I took the opportunity to wander up and down Milton Street, looking for my blip of course, but looking in the shop windows at my leisure.
Came across this directional sign which looks like it’s been there for years, or at least made to look like that in traditional materials etc.
Which got me thinking, the cliff lift has just reopened on Friday after 9 months of repair and refurbishment. There was a fire in the control room and because of its age, it took many months of compliance with the relevant heritage authorities.
However, it’s now done and open. We’ve yet to try it out (big queues apparently at the moment) but will do in the coming days when it gets quieter and see if it meets with the approval of my two hounds.
Vinnie (of course) doesn’t particularly like going over wooden bridges, so hopefully the motion of the cliff lift won’t upset him. It will be a super easy and quick way for him to get to the beach, which also will be open access from 1st October, so we can go sniffing under the pier again.
That’s them sniffing you understand, not me!
