Bridge

Immediately beyond this bridge was a small railway station. Opened in 1856 it closed to passenger traffic in 1955 and gradually fell into disrepair until the line completely closed in 1964. A linear park now exists on the route.

My wife and I were on our way to a 1st birthday celebration for a small cafe in the village centre. They had put on wine and nibbles for their regular customers as a thank you for their custom. A nice touch. The cafe has a really nice vibe, great food and coffee, and wonderful staff. You feel as though you've popped round to friends for a chat.
