Another Gorgeous Day!

Gosh it was beautiful today! I love these clear, dry early fall days. 

I went for another long walk at the Tualatin Hills Nature Reserve - it was busy this morning, being a Sunday. Then my son and grandkids came for lunch and we played games and talked.

I had an organizational attack this afternoon and started cleaning out my closets of all the clothes that I don't wear. Good grief. I think another round is due shortly...you just have to be in the mood though, don't you think? A lot to take to charity, and a lot to consign. 

This is my granddaughter's pumpkin. She had saved seeds from our Halloween pumpkin carving last year and one seed had fallen in the crushed stone near the outside wall of the house...lo and behold, it germinated and has been growing all summer, although it's a very short vine, it has had several lovely flowers. No pumpkins though. Not surprising since it's behind a bunch of containers :-)
