Soup and Socks Day

The weather was in marked contrast to yesterday.
Cold with nonstop heavy rain from lunchtime. On a Greek holiday a few years ago, on a dull day, a girl hiring out the deck chairs said it was a soup and socks day. It was more than that today. The wind was so strong, and last nights forecast so bad that the Torbay Half Marathon, which should have been today, was cancelled for the runners’safety.
