An unusual visitor

I seem to have birds on my brain just now. Mostly little birdies and seagulls, but today a large black bird landed unexpectedly on my kitchen windowsill and started knockng on the window. No time for photos as I tried to creep as close as I could get. The tapping was strange as most birds know that glass is imperiable to to them. It didn’t seem to notice me but decided that there was nothing good to be had here and flew off. It was quite large, but whether it was a crow or a raven I don’t really know. I’d like to think it was a raven.
