Jude on two wheels

A couple of weeks ago Jude rode her pedal bike for the first time at the Castle Combe race track here.

It was just after our visit so we hadn’t seen her using it. Despite a wild stormy night this morning was just a bit dull and damp. We took the bike to Alice Park so that she could cycle round the little cycling proficiency track.  I was pleased to see they have added road signage since out last visit so it is even more realistic. There is a roundabout and junctions with stop signs and as you can see here a zebra crossing, she did very well but it’s a bit trickier than the wide and totally flat race track. She came off once on a corner but got straight back on again and off she went.
The wild weather last night has started to bring the leaves down and we found lots more conkers than last time we were here.
We had a coffee and some toast at the cafe before returning home.
Otherwise we’ve had a fairly laid back day with Jude using some of her birthday presents. She’s made a bracelet, a unicorn puppet and tried out some finger print animals as well as playing with other things. She particularly favours her gifts of Paw Patrol Zuma and her Playmobile princesses, such are her diverse likes.

Soon Grace will go for Eda who has cycled to school and then later Chris and I are going to the Theatre Royal in Bath to see a Rebus play  ‘A Game called Malice’, something new for us.

Just enjoying some birthday cake and a cup of tea.
