A Dog and His Ball

This merit of this photograph is not in the art but in the tale--tail?--behind it. My German Shepherd is 10 years old tomorrow. Despite his white muzzle, his canine lupus, which is turning his nose to mush, and the steroids he takes, to combat the lupus, which are making him anxious and nervous, he is still a puppy at heart. When he eats, he puts his ball in his food bowl. He's like a five year-old little boy who needs his favorite toy with him at all times. Obsessive compulsive in that loving, annoying doggy kind of way.
