New beginnings
The Red prisoners' monument
(The whites were the side that fought in the Finnish civil war with the government forces. The other side, which rebelled against the government, was called the Reds in 1918.)
The Red prisoners' monument is a large-scale work of art designed by sculptor Erkki Kannosto from granite and bronze, located in Fellman's park in Lahti. On the site of the park in 1918 was a prison camp called Fellman's field. In order to acquire the monument, an invitational competition was organized in 1976, which Kannosto won.
I took a walk around the park on our lunch break to get some fresh air.
It's been a long day and we also did a long walk with Buddha this evening as he had a long day alone too.
I need to back at work 7 am, so it's time to start looking at the shower and bed.
The day at school was okay. Just general stuff about studying there. Lots of new apps and sites and information.
