Blackford Pond

I'm back-blipping this from 30th September, less than two weeks after I took this photo and I can hardly believe the difference! It's now most definitely autumn and has been weather for gloves some days and the heating has been on for a while most days. This was one of several days that were an Indian summer and I spent this afternoon at Blackford Pond watching, amongst other things, the swan family and a family of little grebes: two parents and three young. I also enjoyed soaking up the sunshine, knowing it wouldn't last!
