"Ageless And Evergreen"
If I'd known before late at night that Kris Kristofferson had died yesterday, I would have chosen an evergreen tree to blip. As it is I was struck by the vibrant colour of this Norway maple (acer planetoides) growing as a self-seed in one of our pots. At least I have two varieties of holly in the shot!
The song was from the film "A Star Is Born" written partly by Barbara Streisand who sang the beautiful love song with Kris in the film. I love all of his songs and I loved watching him in films. Among my favourite singers.
I had had a great time at church this morning. On the fifth Sundays of the month we hold a joint service for the three churches in our parish and it was our turn to host it. The Archdeacon, a keen photographer, was invited to come and do the sermon.
Before and after the service I was busy doing what I love doing - photographing people. Yesterday we had come down and set up my mobile studio so that this morning I could do headshots of the PCC members for a "who's who" in a website we are creating.
I didn't stop at that though, I invited others in the congregation to come and sit on the stool. I dreaded the technology going wrong. I rely on the tethering to LR to enable me to show people the shots I've taken and let them choose their favourite. Sometimes it plays up but all went well today though I do miss a third rim right.
Note to self: Buy a replacement small modifier to fit, 2nd Bowens and use my Interfit lamp as a rim light. Carry more gear, why don't you?
