Fanology

One of the fans in an exhibition at Dudmaston Hall. The hall itself closed for the winter yesterday but the galleries and teashop were still open. As it was a rainy day that's all that we needed really. Also contains several rooms with modern and contemporary art. Two sculptures shown in extras.

Fan: Unknown Maker
c. 1770, paper, bone and metal
This paper battoir fan is heavily decorated and illustrates an English pastoral scene in the Rococo style.
