Asperitas clouds and the Kelpies.

Officially recognised as a separate cloud type as recently as 2017, asperitas clouds are unusual and often precursors of rain. Correctly today, as by the time we returned home from our walk, it was indeed raining. 
On account of that weather, we spent the afternoon catching up on a family history project which may prove a little more complicated than first imagined. We shall see.
