Piwakawaka paused by pipeline

On Sunday evening we collected Z from the airport for an almost two week stay with us. First time he has been here since before the COVID lockdowns. And we have not travelled outside Aotearoa/New Zealand in that same time. Good to see him and he is almost an adult.

Today he and Young L (both are on school holidays) went to MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology. 

Late in the afternoon I walked along the lower pipeline and got a rushed photo pf a dancing Piwakawaka during one of its very brief pauses.
