Had a good day today lunch with old workmates, 10 of us :-)
I played the piano for a bit this afternoon.
Early evening my eldest came round with my birthday present, then proceeded to play the piano, she was playing lots of tunes I did not know she had learnt as they from a favourite book of mine which I have had for years !! She must have learnt them before I used to come home from work ! She soon became a lot better than me and can read music much faster than me !
I deliberately had more lessons as an adult when she had lessons, as when I had lessons as a kid there was no one playing at home even though my mum could play as she used to play for ballet classes !
Then tonight Steampunk choir rehearsal, but we are learning 3 new songs for the hospice candle light memory walk which finishes in front of the west face of the cathedral, usually a very emotional and sombre evening but with a message of hope.
I now have a glass of Rioja which is going down very nicely :-)
