A quieter day

Max and I visited Anita in hospital, she’s the 84 year old mother of one of my oldest friends, I met Karen 44 years ago.

At 84 Anita is near the end, the hope is she can get home before it comes. The family are having a living wake, encouraging people to send messages and memories that can be shared with her so she will know the impact she’s had on people’s lives.

As well as sending a message I recorded myself singing over the rainbow for her. I’m so glad we been able to go and visit, I thanked her for always accepting me and she asked me why she wouldn’t have, bless her heart, such a lovely lady.

Back at base Rachael ordered us an amazing Japanese and we just chatted and watch tv. Home tomorrow.
