Moveday

The rain and wind abated and a jog around the stubble fields and puddly lanes with Dippy to awaken the lazy body.
We fed and watered the feathery creatures who seemed none the worse for the rough conditions that had swept through yesterday.
Breakfast was followed by some final preparations for moving and the next adventure.
Brandon drove my car and followed me the 5 miles to my destination, we set up Amadeus using the levelling ramps before a pub lunch and warm drinks. Next on the agenda was some essential shopping and then we picked up a 19kg propane gas cylinder before dropping Brandon off to the farm. (Said gas cylinder is still in the boot of the car and will be until the world’s strongest man arrives to help lift it out)
Some errands in Barnstaple before heading to the new site and some exploring in the surrounding countryside (see extra for a campsite view)
A healthy crop of apples and raspberries was noted, an interesting pond and plenty of meadows for dippy to charge around in.
I was invited into the farmhouse for a lovely chat with the owner V. She is a great example for how we should live our lives in a good way.
I’d collected some vegetables from the garden before leaving and they were just in the right spot for construction of one of my couscous dishes together with surimi and a few wild mushrooms.
A few heavy but brief showers scudded over and before long darkness had arrived. We could.Dippy is very settled and ready for some shuteye as am I.
