Gnomic

According to the alchemist Paracelsus (as I’ve just discovered),  there are four elemental beings that coexist with us on astral planes. The gnome is the elemental being linked to earth, which is the theme of today’s Tiny Tuesday.


This is a Tomten, which could be said to be a Swedish variety of gnome, and was one of my middle sister’s favourite characters growing up (based on a picture book we had). Now she is fully grown (albeit in gnomic proportions), it is perhaps not ironic she has ended up living in Sweden. She brought this back as a souvenir for my parents who I am visiting in Tasmania at the moment. What better subject to test out the new lens my father gave me?
